Band Camp News (or lack of)

Well, due to business and other personal committments we have no band practice for the next week or three :-(

We have a few songs that we've been 'woodshedding' for a while and it would be cool to get these into sufficient shape to gig in the near future.

Anyway, that doesn't give us much to report.

Went to see 'Touch 2 Much' on Friday in The Chester Bells. If you're looking for an AC/DC tribute band, look no further. These guys are the mutt's nuts.

Chester Beer Festival - 'Match' Report...

Thanks for the support everyone.

It's 00:30 and I just got home from the gig. The guys from the other bands and the organisers said they thought we sounded great (one guy said we were awesome and he wasn't drunk, well not very drunk.. :) )

Big shouts of 'More' at the end, so I guess overall we did alright, we're well chuffed.

As it turned we only had about 40 minutes on stage and played:

The MC said just one more, so we finished with Hey Joe !!

And, none of us got loaded before we played, just a couple of beers to wet the whistle. So we were musically pretty tight.

Well never thought this would happen....

Seems we are 'headlining' at a gig on Thursday night!!

We are playing Chester Beer Festival on this Thursday and the organisers have suggested that we play last and headline the event. As this is the first time we've played this event, we're pretty chuffed and are looking forward to performing well. Apparently there might be a few hundred folks there, so hopefully we won't stuff anything up too badly. Mind you if we're going on late and everybody in the audience has had a few scoops by then, they are probably not going to be too discerning...

We had a practice run last night and fingers crossed we'll be fine.
